Brief Bio Data:

At present working as Technical Director in the National Informatics Centre, Ministry of Information and Communication Technology. Having more than 23 years of experience in executing cost effective ICT (Information and Communication Technology) enabled projects in the various departments of State and Central Govt

  • MSc in Mathematics from PPN College of Kanpur University
  • Master of Computer Application (MCA) from JNU, New Delhi

Mainly involve in spreading E-Gov projects for State and Central Government Departments. Some of the important initiatives and projects are as follows:

  • Automated Service to Help All (ASHA)
  • Integrated Pension Management System (IPMS)
  • Uniform Payroll System (UPS) for more than thirty thousand offices of the State Government
  • Automation of Finance Department, U.P. (Treasuries, Budget, etc.)
  • Automation of Commercial Tax Department and VAT implementation (VYAS)
  • Launched a web based GIS (Geographical Information System) framework ( ‘SRISHTI’ to make use of GIS in day to day decision making by Government.

Lecture and paper presentation on usage of ICT related innovations and projects in various conferences organized by CSI, Skoch Foundation, Map Asia/India, Geospatial World/India Forum, Manthan, etc.
Lectures on E-governance and use of GIS in National/Regional Level Conferences organized by different Departments of Central/State Govt.


  • Award of E-Gov Champion’2008 for North India by Cyber Media.
  • Case Study conducted by Microsoft Corporation, USA for the project IPMS and awarded for adopting best practices in the project development and implementation Government
